Speech Therapy for Autistic & ADHD Children in Burlington & Hamilton
If your child struggles to communicate their needs, leading to meltdowns and frustration—you're not alone.
At Little Forest Therapy, we provide neurodivergent-affirming speech therapy that helps children with autism, ADHD, and sensory processing challenges find their voice.
Rebecca Wong Kai Pun, Registered SLP since 2011, specializes in play-based, nature-integrated speech therapy that builds real-world communication skills—not just clinic skills.
WHAT SPEECH THERAPY AT LITTLE FOREST LOOKS LIKE FOR YOUR FAMILY
Less frustration, more connection. Your child learns to communicate their needs, wants, and big feelings—reducing meltdowns and helping you truly understand them again.
Confidence in real-life situations. We practice communication skills at the farm, in nature, and through play—so your child can use them at home, school, and in the community (not just in a clinic).
Therapy they're excited about. When sessions feel like play, your child engages authentically. They build relationships, create memories, and develop skills without even realizing they're "working."
Safety and self-advocacy. Your child develops the tools to understand safety information and communicate when something feels wrong—a skill that lasts a lifetime.
REBECCA'S APPROACH
Rebecca has been a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist since 2011, giving her deep understanding of various communication challenges and strategies that help children make meaningful progress.
Rebecca is incredibly passionate about the benefits of speech-language therapy within nature. She believes in meeting your child where they are—whether that's in their words, their gestures, or their silences—and working together to unlock their fullest communication potential.
Rebecca would love to support your child with:
💚 Speech clarity: Helping your child be understood by everyone
💚 Early communication development: Building confidence in all forms of communication
💚 Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC): Using gestures, facial expressions, picture boards, and symbol cards to support communication
💚 Social communication and language skills: Fostering skills that facilitate confident and happy relationships with others
Rebecca has seen firsthand how play fosters language and communication, and integrates this into therapy by facilitating child-led and co-created play experiences that empower children to express themselves in a natural, enjoyable way.
This play-based approach is especially effective within nature and experiencing the outdoors. Rebecca particularly enjoys working with neurodivergent kids, as well as hesitant or shy communicators.
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY SESSIONS
Rebecca is available for one-on-one therapy primarily on the farm at Blue Dot Acres Farm.
Therapy on the Farm
Located at Blue Dot Acres in northwest Burlington, our primary therapy space is designed to help children learn, grow, and connect in a calm, nature-based environment.
The peaceful surroundings of the farm create meaningful opportunities to support communication, emotional regulation, sensory processing, motor development, and everyday life skills through engaging, child-led experiences. Whether we're exploring nature, moving our bodies, building confidence through play, or working toward individual therapy goals, the outdoor environment naturally encourages curiosity, connection, and learning.
At Little Forest Therapy, we believe children thrive when they feel safe, supported, and free to explore. Blue Dot Acres provides the perfect setting for therapy that is playful, evidence-based, and grounded in meaningful real-world experiences.
While most therapy sessions take place at our farm location at Blue Dot Acres, we also offer limited home visits for families when appropriate and scheduling allows.
Home Visit Fees: Initial Assessment $220, Follow-Up Therapy Sessions $175
Please contact us to discuss availability and whether home-based therapy is the right fit for your child.
What Makes Our Approach Different:
Therapy sessions with Rebecca are play-based and driven by your child's interests, while also being adapted according to your child's unique needs. This means Rebecca doesn't come in with a rigid agenda, but meets your child where they are at on any given day and moment.
This flexibility not only helps your child feel happy and comfortable, but by honoring and empowering each child, leads to real success. Rebecca also prioritizes empowering you with parental support and coaching.
